How to Play

The core loop and first steps in RNG Heroes.

The Core Loop

  • RNG Heroes is an incremental roll simulator. You earn gold from battles, then spend it on rolls to recruit heroes of random rarity.
  • Each hero joins your squad; stronger (rarer) heroes clear zones faster and survive tougher enemies. Progress unlocks new biomes with better loot.
  • The cycle repeats: farm gold → roll heroes → upgrade → push to the next zone. Every session is a bet on RNG — that is the fun.

Your First 10 Minutes

  • 1. Redeem codes first — the Beginnings code alone gives 10,000 gold + a free Assassin.
  • 2. Roll your gold immediately to build Common/Uncommon coverage across roles.
  • 3. Clear Starter Plains to bank gold, then repeat the loop.

Daily Loop Checklist

  • 1. Check for new codes — RNG Heroes runs on a weekly update cadence (new update every Saturday 3PM ET), and codes often drop with updates or player-count milestones. Redeem anything new before rolling.
  • 2. Burn your potions on a roll session — Roll Speed and Size Luck potions from codes are time-limited value; activate them, then roll your banked gold in one focused batch.
  • 3. Farm your furthest stable zone — park your squad where it clears enemies without wiping. Gold and XP accumulate while you play, so the best farm spot is the hardest zone you can hold.
  • 4. Spend gold on upgrades, then push — dump the session’s gold into stat upgrades and attempt the next zone before you log off, so tomorrow starts from a higher baseline.

Building a Squad That Wins

  • Aim for a balanced core: at least one Damage Dealer, one Tank, and one Healer / Support.
  • Breadth beats a single over-leveled hero early — coverage lets you survive varied enemy types.
  • As you reach Rare and Epic tiers, settle a main team and pour rare elixirs into them.
