Biomes & Zones

The smartest route through every zone — unlock order, enemy tiers and farm tips.

How Zone Unlocking Actually Works

RNG Heroes gates every biome behind Gold, not levels alone. The store page promises you can “unlock & explore many biomes and zones” — in practice, each new zone costs a growing pile of Gold, spawns tougher enemy tiers, and pays out proportionally better loot. Four rules keep your route efficient:

  • Farm where kills stay near-instant. Park your squad on the deepest zone where enemies die in one or two hits — Gold/hour beats bragging rights in a zone you can barely clear.
  • Upgrade before you unlock. Buying Luck and hero slots first, then rolling, then pushing the next zone converts the same Gold into far more power than rushing unlocks.
  • Stack the free boosts. Redeem the active codes and join the Heroplay Studios group (+10% Gold, +1 Luck, permanent) before any big push.
  • Deeper zones fund rarer rolls. Every biome tier raises Gold drops, so each unlock compounds — the fastest late-game squads come from pushing steadily, not camping the Plains.

Note: Heroplay Studios hasn't published an official biome list — names and thresholds below are an illustrative progression model; the unlock logic above is verified from the live game.

#1

Starter Plains

Common enemies

The tutorial zone. Enemies are weak Commons — perfect for learning rolls, building your first squad, and banking starting gold.

Loot
Gold, basic rolls
  • Roll your starting gold immediately to build Common/Uncommon coverage.
  • Redeem codes first (Beginnings alone is 10,000 gold + an Assassin).
  • Don't over-upgrade — roster breadth beats a single hero here.
#2

Dark Forest

Uncommon enemies

The first real step up. Uncommon enemies hit harder, so you want a balanced team with at least one healer before pushing deep.

Loot
Gold, luck potions, rare elixirs
  • Bring a healer — sustained fights make support valuable.
  • Save luck potions for a big roll session before farming here.
  • Watch the daily shop for elixirs and potions.
#3

Crystal Caves

Rare enemies

Rare-tier enemies appear here. This is where Rare heroes (Storm Lancer, Iron Warden) start to pay off and elixirs become worth using.

Unlock

Loot
Gold, rare elixirs, event currency
  • Reserve rare elixirs for your settled main team.
  • Use speed boosts to farm gold faster between rolls.
  • Join events — exclusive heroes help clear this zone.
#4

Volcanic Wastes

Epic enemies

Epic enemies demand a real team. Epics (Celestial Mage, Abyssal Knight) carry you through; one weak link will get punished.

Loot
Gold, epic shards, premium currency
  • Stack a damage dealer + tank + healer trio of Epics.
  • Roll during luck-potion windows to push for more Epics.

#5

Celestial Peaks

Epic+ enemies

The highest standard zone. You'll want Legendary support or a stacked Epic team to clear consistently.

Legendary enemies

The ultimate challenge. Legendary enemies require a near-perfect squad — the endgame goal of every roll session.
