Rarity vs. Role: What Actually Decides a Fight

It's tempting to chase the shiniest rarity tag, but in RNG Heroes the number that decides who fights is the Power stat on each hero card. Here's how rarity and role interact at each stage of the game — all based on verified in-game mechanics, not guesswork:

  • 1.Early game — free roles beat lucky rolls. The Beginnings code hands you an Assassin outright. It skips the roll system entirely and hits far harder than the common Warrior you start with, so equip it immediately and let it fund your first upgrade streak.
  • 2.Mid game — slots beat rarity. Three mid-rarity heroes attacking together deal steadier total damage than one ultra-rare unit fighting alone. Buy extra hero slots before dumping gold into long roll sessions.
  • 3.Late game — rarity takes over. Once your slots are full and Luck upgrades are bought, higher-rarity pulls become the main source of Power growth. That's when big roll sessions (with potions active) pay off most — see the tier list for which tiers to chase.
  • 4.Always — Power is the tiebreaker. When two heroes compete for a slot, equip the one with the higher Power stat. Rarity and looks are irrelevant if the damage is lower than what you already run.
