Beginner Guide

The fastest route to a strong hero collection in RNG Heroes.

The Strongest Beginner Route

  • When you start, your goal is to quickly build a roster of Common and Uncommon heroes. The game drops you into a hub where you spend gold on rolls — don't hesitate, roll your gold immediately.
  • Aim for a balanced team early: a mix of damage dealers, tanks and healers. Any combination works until higher difficulties. Unlock as many distinct heroes as possible before focusing on upgrades.

Resource Priorities

  • Gold — the primary currency. Flows from battles, daily logins and codes. Spend it on rolls until you have a solid Uncommon squad.
  • Luck potions — save them for a big rolling session; they temporarily raise your chances of rare heroes.
  • Speed boosts — accelerate battles and farming to accumulate gold faster.
  • Rare elixirs — permanently boost a hero's attributes; reserve them for your strongest, settled main team.

Mistakes That Slow You Down

  • Hoarding gold. Gold doesn't earn interest — spend it on rolls to grow your pool.
  • Ignoring the daily shop. It sometimes offers rare elixirs or luck potions for gold.
  • Over-upgrading one hero. A well-rounded team beats a single super-strong unit.
  • Skipping events. Limited-time events can grant exclusive heroes or bonus gold.

Pro Tip: Use Your Codes First

Before you spend any gold on rolls, redeem all active codes first. The Beginningscode alone gives you 10,000 gold plus a free Assassin hero — that's dozens of free rolls before you even start.
